              Dr. Anil Kishen is a globally recognized clinician-scientist and educator whose pioneering work spans endodontics, pulp biology, nanotechnology, and biomedical engineering. Currently Professor and Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Oral Health Nanomedicine at the University of Toronto, Dr. Kishen has authored over 250 journal articles, contributed 24 book chapters, and published three books, earning more than 10,000 citations and over 110,000 reads worldwide. His research leadership is evident in his innovative development of nanoparticle-guided therapeutic strategies, bioactive nanomaterials for dental tissue preservation, and foundational studies in the biomechanics of dentin and endodontic cavities. Dr. Kishen is also at the forefront of standardizing reporting in dental research, leading international initiatives such as PRIASE to advance methodological rigor and reproducibility in the field. His dedication to mentoring is reflected in the hundreds of graduate students and postdoctoral researchers he has guided across clinical and engineering disciplines. Recognized for his excellence in dental education and leadership, including the prestigious W. W. Wood Award, Dr. Kishen is a frequent contributor and editorial presence in high-impact journals such as the Journal of Endodontics. With previous appointments at the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University and active collaborations across continents, Dr. Kishen is committed to translating laboratory discoveries into clinically meaningful solutions. His philosophy centers on innovation, rigorous science, mentorship, and global partnership, driving advances that shape the future of oral health care.
